The town of Munising sits on the Lake Superior lakeshore and is one of those little communities that people come to and never leave. If you like waterfalls, there are at least a half dozen waterfalls worth taking the time to visit. Now if you’re looking for a nice beach, just west of Munising is the Au Train river with an easy pull over.

Munising is a biker friendly town with warm friendly people. If you had to pick a location to stage your rides in the Central U.P., this would be our recommendation.
Roads
Highway H-58 between Munising and Grand Marais is one of the top five motorcycling roads in Upper Michigan. This breathtakingly scenic road with its sweeping curves will quickly become one of your favorite U.P. rides! Come Experience the Great U.P. and H58 with it’s 198 curves in 50 miles!!

Forest Highway 13 combined with Buckhorn Road make for one of the best forest rides in the Central U.P. Plenty of twists and turns as you cruise through the deep woods.

Highway M-28 between Munising and Marquette is a great ride along the Lake Superior Lakeshore. Some great beach pull outs along the way with one fantastic overlook just west of Munising.

Area Sights
The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is one sight anyone visiting the area should see. It’s a short ride out of Munising to Miners Castle.
