U. P. Motorcycle Week a few more photos
I think the above photo says it best about motorcycling in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It's a photo of a lone biker making his way west on Highway M-28 just west of Munising, Michigan.
Just one of many great pullouts found along Lake Superior. Unfortunately I think too many riders don't realize what wait them if they weren't so busy enjoying motoring along U.P. highways.
U.P. Weather has a way of changing quickly on you. One reason you might never travel without a rain suit. Fortunately in this case, I was able to crank it up an notch and make it out the storm's path before the skies let loose.
Yes, that's me, old Grayrider pulled over in a roadside park along Lake Michigan. Was a pain trying to set the camera up for this, but my grandson's like to see photos of their Papa on his motorcycle so I had to do it.
JUST RIDE WEEK I had a great ride during Just Ride Week. Unfortunately it was cut a little short and I didn't get to hook up with the Cam Am Spyders, but maybe I'll be able to get some photos and words on their ride to post in the near future. If you didn't get a chance to ride during JUST RIDE WEEK, there is still plenty of August and September to ride. Not to mention the Fall Color season is just weeks away. I've already got some great ideas for next years ride which I'll be working on over the winter. If you have any suggestions for next years ride, I sure like to hear from you.
